Frequently Asked Questions
Can you work with MY hair type? I have experience working with a wide variety of hair types---- fine, thin, straight, thick, heavy, very curly, frizzy, coarse, and everything in between. If you are worried about any obstacle your hair may create for your wedding style, no worries! One of my biggest points of pride is that I work with my client's hair, not against it. Contact me with any questions about your hair type and desired style, and I will let you know what I can design for you that you will be happy with.
Do you work with extensions? Yes, a good number of my brides use extensions! I do not provide them, but I can give you a list of locations where you can get them. I am happy to instruct you on what extensions are the best for your hair and style, and let you know what quality options are most affordable.
Can you accommodate big groups? Yes! I have a wonderful assistant who works with me to accommodate larger parties. If you have a big party, send me the headcount and we can work out a schedule.
Is there a big group discount? I don't specifically offer big group discounts, but I run various promotions throughout the year. Check out my wedding wire page for deals!
Where does the trial take place? I currently don’t have an open studio space, so I am offering in-home trials (or at your location of choice) for clients at no additional cost.
Can I opt out of the trial? I require all of my brides to have one trial appointment to practice their bridal style. It's important to me as your stylist to know that we are on the same page coming up on your wedding date!
Can people other than the bride have a trial? Trial availability for clients other than the bride varies depending on the time of year it is. (At the height of wedding season, it is difficult for me to fit extra appointments in.) Generally, I am more than happy to either speak on the phone with or correspond via email with any party members who are concerned about their hair style ahead of time. If concerns cannot be assuaged that way, I will try to set up a time that works for both of us to try out their style. Note: Trial appointments cannot be guaranteed for anyone other than the bride.
I'm not comfortable signing a contract right away. How long will you save my wedding date? You have the option of signing a contract before your trial, but it isn't required. I can save your date for up to six weeks without a contract and deposit. It is required that you have a trial appointment scheduled within that time frame for the date to be saved. (PLEASE NOTE: your date is NOT automatically saved for you once you receive a quote. The date is saved once we have a trial appointment on the books. I will confirm with you once your date is saved.)
Is there a deposit to book? Yes, I require a 50% deposit of your total wedding day cost to book. The deposit to book is non-refundable.
What methods of payment do you accept? I accept payment via personal check or through Square. For the trial appointment only, you can also opt to pay in cash.
When is my wedding day bill due? The remaining balance after your deposit is due in full two weeks before the wedding day. I will be in touch with you ahead of time to coordinate the payment method. There is a $35.00 fee for bounced checks.
